14th October 2020
End of year funding grants are currently available to women who work in the food sector to support their participation in a professional development program.
Up to $5,000 scholarships available
The fee support opportunity provides a scholarship of up to $5,000 for women to take part in one of three leadership courses.
The grants have been provisioned for use by women right across the country, with a specific focus on the food sector, but must be allocated by the end of 2020. The programs are suitable for junior managers right through to executive level women.
How to register
At this stage, Expressions of Interest are being sourced until 4th December (unless allocated prior) via this link: https://www.wla.edu.au/grants.html
We encourage you to inform Foodservice Suppliers Association of Australia members and contacts of the opportunity to register, and below is some wording that is appropriate in support of the venture. I can also provide you with an image or logo for your message upon request. If you could let me know whether you will be able to send this to your members and contacts it would be sincerely appreciated.
For more than 16 years WLA has been developing female leadership and supporting the presence of women in business and community leadership roles through an Industry Partnership Framework. Prioritising women who work in the food sector has been a key component of our strategic impetus to date, particularly at the senior level within organisations.
The scholarships were originally meant to be allocated in March and April, however things got significantly delayed and disrupted due to COVID-19. This residual funding now needs to be awarded by the end of 2020, and your support in making your members aware of this will enable us to continue making a sizable and demonstrable impact.
